Policies and Procedures

What Should my Child Wear? Athletic clothing are required, this includes: Leotards, warm-ups, athletic shorts or pants, and a t-shirt. Hair must be pulled out of the athlete's face. Please remove all jewelry before starting class. No socks allowed while on the equipment.

What is the Withdrawl policy? If you would like to cancel participation in a class or program, written notice must be received by the 25th day of the current month to cancel billing for the following month. Withdrawal notices received after the 25th day of the month will not receive a refund. M&S may choose to drop a participant from class if there is an outstanding account balance. You can find our unenrollment form at the front desk. Execptions to this policy may be made and communicated for classes and programs that are offered and run on a month to month basis.

What is the Make-up Policy? During the school year each student is allowed one make-up per month (if your child attends twice a week you have one make-up for each class). Make-ups can be scheduled through the front desk. Make-up are valid within the month that you are missing. Please note: once a make-up has been scheduled it cannot be rescheduled and we cannot guarantee more than one option for a make-up class time. There are no refunds, credits, or additional make-ups for snow days, acts of nature, family travel or illnesses. However, these absences can be made up using your one make-up per month.

What Happens if there is Inclement Weather? M&S makes every effort to remain open for all scheduled classes. However, in the event of a weather-related closure, families will be notified by 3:00pm via email during the school year. We will also post any closures on the website and social media platforms (Facebook & Instagram).

What is the Difference Between a Credit and a Refund? Refunds/Credits will be reviewed on an individual basis. To submit a request for a refund, please email the office manager at [email protected]. The annual fee is non-refundable.

What is the Payment Policy? Enrollment is ongoing for your child in the preferred class. Gymnasts may enroll in the next level once they have advanced to the skills of the next level. All accounts must be set up for online payments/auto pay (credit card/form of payment on file). All accounts unpaid by the 8th of the month will have a $5.00 administrative fee added weekly until the account is current. M&S Gymnastics reserves the right to remove a participant from class at any time without notice due to past due accounts.

The Tuition is based on a 48-week year and includes 4 weeks of breaks and holidays. It is most benefiticial to stay enrolled for the entire year. Your tuition pays for the gymnastics educational experience M&S offers and not a specified number of classes. In any given year, some months have four classes, and some months have 5 classes. On occasion, there will be a month with three classes for one reason or another. Over a year, typically, the average is slightly over four classes per month.

Does M&S Have a Sibling Discount? Yes! If a second child is registered within the same immediate family, you will recieve 10% off the second child's tuition, the third child is 20% off, the fouth child is 30% off, and the fifth child is FREE! (The lesser tuition(s) will receive the discounts.)

What if I am Running Late? Gymnasts should be picked up promptly at the time of practice ending. If there is an occasion that a late pick up is needed, please call the front desk as soon as possible to let the coaches know. Repeated late pick ups may result in additional charges to your account as two coaches are required to stay late until all athletes have left the gym. If you are picking your gymnast up early, please let the coach or front desk know in the beginning of practice, so they can make any necessary adjustments to that day’s goals and lesson plans.

For every child - M&S will contact the parent after 5 minutes. After 15 minutes M&S will call the emergency number on file. If the parents/guardians are 15 minutes late to pick up, a $10.00 charge will be added to the account, if the parents do not contact the front desk or have not been picked up.

Annual Registration Fee: Every athlete is required to pay a $40 annual registration fee. This fee helps cover the overall usage of what the athlete is using (bandaids, chalk, toilet paper, hairties, etc.). This will be charged once a year on the families anniversary date of enrollment.

Waivers: All waivers need to be signed before participation inside of M&S by a parent or guardian. This is for everyone's safety. Any medical and special concerns should be indicated and brought to the instructor's attention prior to the start of each class date.

How is my Child EvaluatedSince all of M&S Programs are run on a Year-Round basis, your preschool and recreational gymnast will be evaulated on a bi-monthly basis. The skill chart is being updated every week and can be viewed at any time. Once all of the skills have been mastered, the coach will make the recommendation to move up a level, or stay in the level for another month.

*Disclaimer - It is very common for an athlete to repeat the class for multiple months in a row before moving on to the next level.
